Washington Wild makes it to semi-finals in Fire on Ice tournament in New York

The Western Washington Female Hockey Association (WWFHA)’s Washington Wild 19u Rep attended the 2015 Fire on Ice tournament in Rochester, NY this past weekend -- one of the best college scouted events of the year.

The team had their best showing ever at the tournament, just losing in the semi-finals to the Ontario Etobioke Dolphins, who boast over 20 Rep teams and 800 players in their all-girl association. The Dolphins scored 23 goals and only allowed 1 goal in their previous 4 games.

Day One Results:
  • Tie vs. Troy Albany Ice Cats: 2-2
  • Tie vs. Skaneateles Lakers: 2-2
Day Two Results:
  • Win vs. Reston Raiders: 3-2
  • Win vs. Wyoming Seminary: 2-1
Day Three Results:
  • Win vs. Quarter-Finals vs. Rochester Grizzlies: 1-0
  • Semi-Finals loss vs. Etobicoke Dolphins: 0-2
