Edmonds Driftwood Theatre brings you home for the holidays with The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and the preimiere of Timmy Perlmutter's Extraordinary Hanukkah

Edmonds Driftwood Players is gearing up for the season with an exciting holiday production for the entire family. Barbara Robinson’s classic tale about the trouble-making Herdman kids, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, will remind audiences about the true meaning of Christmas.

And Driftwood is thrilled to premiere the original one-act musical by Paul Lewis and Carissa Meisner Smit, Timmy Perlmutter’s Extraordinary Hanukkah, the sweet story about how a young boy comes to realize that his family is the greatest gift of all. 18 performances will run November 27 - December 20, 2015 at the Wade James Theatre. New-to-Driftwood director, Andrew Coopman, has brought his creative vision to the production.

Of this unique holiday event, Coopman says

“Audiences will see what brings people together for the holidays and how much tradition and family plays a role in what is one of the most beloved times of the year. 

We celebrate multiple holidays within the contexts of the show, but what is at the core of both shows is that there is more to the holidays and to the people around us than meets the eye. 

It has been truly an honor to work with this amazingly talented cast, and their hard work and talent is present in every moment of the show.”

Performances: Thursdays through Sundays, Nov. 27-Dec. 20, 2015
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, select Saturdays at 2:00pm, and Sundays at 2:00 pm.
