There shall be only one - Giant Pumpkin

Central Market had their Giant Pumpkin on display Saturday from the Great Pumpkin Weigh-In. Only one Giant Pumpkin made the final competition.

The Grand Pumpkin selection was easy, as there was only one Giant Pumpkin competing for this years title. Here Dwight Stevens takes time out from selling bricks for the Shoreline Veterans Plaza to admire the winner.

    oh my gosh! one entrant only? Did the others go to fairs in other locations or did the drought impact the crop??

    Slight error in reporting. The Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off was not last Saturday. According to the info on the Central Market webpage, it is this Saturday, October 10 from 9am - 1pm.There is. $2,000 in prize money up for grabs. There will also be a Pumpkin Bratwurst Barbecue, caramel apples, free hot cider and free hay rides.
