By Jan Clem

Do you want to try Collage as a way to create art? Join us, and let artist Jan Clem show you many tricks and techniques to this fun medium. From Picasso to Pop art to the contemporary art scene, collage has stayed a most fruitful area for creative people.

Collage is a French word meaning “to glue.” You will be gluing ephemera, and a variety of papers to “paint” a picture that tells a story.

Learn about materials: gel medium, brushes, a variety of found and fine papers. Jan will take you step by step through the creative process: we will build a background, mid-ground and a foreground. You will come away with a display-ready collage and an understanding of the style and fun of collage.

Artist Jan Clem is a member of the Northwest Collage Society. This fun workshop is hosted by the Shoreline/Lake Forest Arts Council. It takes place at the Shoreline Center – Horizon Room, 18560 1st Ave NE. Only a few places left. Get Tickets – $35
