Take a look at the members of the board.....who they have invited and who they have given money to during this election cycle (and other election cycles). Now review their mission:
To assist the residents of the City of Shoreline to achieve and maintain their vision for our community – that it be a great place to live, work and raise a family.
It would be nice if they support their mission as stated, however their money and who they are as well as the historical actions taken by this organization does not seem to support their stated mission.
I fear they are looking at "future residents" not the current residents.
Our most powerful weapon as current residents is our vote.

Be informed and vote for the person who will represent the current residents of this city as we evolve and grow into the future.
Do not allow developers and their allies to label "current residents" as NIMBY's. This is their tactic....it is black or white.....this rhetoric appeals to and is effective with those not involved in the issues and not able or not willing to spend the time and energy digging into the real very nuanced issues our city faces.
Those folks are busy working, taking care of their families and paying their bills....and as a result, it is very easy to mislead them with slogans.
Do your homework and share with your neighbors....have fruitful discussions, not sloganeering and arguments.
Cast your vote for the person who represents YOUR best interests. For me this is Lorn Richey and Keith Sculley. They are thoughtful individuals who I respect and expect to increase involvment from the citizens and remove th "blanket" that covers much of the decision making process in Shoreline.
Just doing what they are legally obligated to do....it is just not enough anymore.
Please be informed and vote November 4!
