Geoff Vlcek took a great shot of the alignment of Jupiter and Venus that had people staying up late and peering into telescopes on Tuesday, June 30. Two of the brightest stars in the sky appeared to merge for a short time. This actually happens about every 13 months, but rarely do we have such clear skies for viewing in the cloudy Northwest.
