Shoreline Police and K9 nab burglary suspect in Shoreline

Deputy Stratton and Luky

Tuesday at 11:18am, Shoreline Police responded to the area of NE 147th St and 1st Ave NE referencing a report of a residential burglary in progress. A homeowner had come home to find a suspect in his front yard in possession of (and wearing) some of his property. The homeowner confronted the suspect, and a struggle between the two ensued. The suspect was able to break free and fled toward I-5.

Guardian One was in Shoreline assisting on another call and spotted the suspect within minutes. The suspect attempted to hide in thick, thorny bushes, and burrowed himself into the brush. KCSO Deputy Stratton and his partner K-9 “Luky” contacted the suspect and took him into custody. The suspect received medical treatment for a dog bite to the foot and will be booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Residential Burglary.

Shoreline Police are investigating both crimes and have not yet determined if they were committed by the same person.
