Shorewood soccer in loser out game Thursday

Tuesday, May 12, 2015

Tuesday night, Shorewood hosted Edmonds Woodway at Edmonds Stadium. The game started with Shorewood controlling much of the play, but in the 17th minute Jose Aleman dribbled from the outside right into the middle of the field and found side net on a nice left footed strike for a 1-0 lead that held through the first half.

In the second half Shorewood equalized at the 53rd minute on a goal by Kabir Khan that was assisted by Callahan Gobel. Play went back and forth until Edmonds crossed a ball far post and Senior Sofian Mahmoud headed it into the goal for the game winner 2-1.

Shorewood plays Arlington in a loser out game Thursday while EW plays Glacier Peak for the WESCO championship Saturday.
