A team of Rotarians and Master Gardeners joined by staff from the Peruvian Consulate in Lake Forest Park spent Saturday morning in Animal Acres Park working together to upgrade the area where the statue of Peruvian national hero Admiral Grau is located.

The team spread topsoil and planted sword ferns and rhododendrons. At a later date there will be the addition of flowers for the Peruvian celebration in June. The next stage of planting will take place in the fall. Thank you to all who came out to work and thank you to the citizens of Lake Forest Park who generously donated the ferns. The project is ongoing and we hope people will come by to see it.
