We are pleased to have clay artist Gina Holt of Bothell and pottery artist Martha Dankers of Monroe return for another First Thursday Open House. Their beautiful work continues to be customer favorites. Their art will be available in our gallery for the month of May.

Gina Holt

I have been working in clay since 1991 from my home studio in Bothell, Wa. I've explored various mediums and find that none compare to the flexibility and feel of clay.

The versatility allows me to draw, carve, and paint with such a range of expression. I find this to be both satisfying and endlessly intriguing.

Martha Dankers

As a Master Gardener, I have always loved the inherent beauty of plants in the northwest. I have many gardens filled with my favorite plants both native and landscape, with a special passion for ferns.

I discovered that through my pottery, I could preserve that beauty by making botanical impressions in the clay. Since creating my jewelry and other projects, I now look at plants with a more appreciative eye, seeing more closely the exquisite design of each leaf and flower.

"Mpressions by Nature" is aptly named: I make the impressions but Nature is the true artist.
