Community support needed for chance to win $10,000 ASPCA grant and save more horses
Equine Aid Horse and Donkey Rescue will be celebrating the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) national Help A Horse Day with our “ASPCA Help A Horse Day 2015: Whirlyball!” event taking place on Sunday, April 26th.
We are competing for a chance to win up to $10,000 in grant prizes to assist with our efforts to protect horses. This nationwide competition is for equine rescues and sanctuaries to raise awareness about the lifesaving work they do year-round to care for at-risk horses in their community who have often been abused or neglected.
Horses have been central to the ASPCA’s work since its founding 149 years ago, when Henry Bergh stopped a cart driver from beating his horse, resulting in the first successful arrest for the mistreatment of a horse on April 26, 1866.
Since 1999, Equine Aid has been helping equines in need as well as their owners.
Sunday, April 26th, from 2:30 pm - 5pm , Equine Aid’s ASPCA Help A Horse Day 2015 celebration occurs at Whirlyball! in Edmonds 23401 SR99, Edmonds 98026, 425-672-3332
We’ll have a silent auction, pizza, drinks, and plenty of opportunities to play Whirlyball! Tickets to our Whirlyball! event are $25 and may be purchased at the door or via PayPal at equineaid@comcast.net
