Beautiful birds: Doug Parrott photography

Snow Geese landing

Christine Southwick's For the Birds columns have been greatly enhanced by the beautiful photos taken by Doug Parrott and we are very grateful for his generous sharing.

Christine says, "Doug Parrott's photos capture the essence of the birds he photographs. His patience and clear portraits create a sense of birds that add to written descriptions. That's why I so often use his pictures with my articles."

He doesn't just get photos of birds - he gets birds in action - snow geese landing - baby birds tucked in their mother's feathers - hummingbirds feeding - a bald eagle in flight.

Readers have asked where to purchase these photos and we are happy to share the information.

Here is his selling website which has his photos of birds, flowers, city landscapes and anything else that caught his eye.

He also has a FLICKR website which you can browse, which has dramatic natural features as well as planes in flight.

If you want a photo from the Flickr account or you can't find something specific that you want, contact him by email.

All of the images provided for publication are not on my websites. I have over 200,00 photos on various hard drives. If someone would like an image of a particular species or local subject they can contact me at my email address or one of my websites.
