Texarkana Waltz opens Thursday at Shoreline Community College Theater

Get your tickets now for Shoreline’s presentation of “Texarkana Waltz,” opening this Thursday, March 5 and playing through March 14.

Directed by Debra Pralle, the Theater department presents Seattle playwright Louis Broome’s semi-autobiographical play that explores the horror of murder and the healing power of family and forgiveness in fresh, funny and stylistically creative ways.

From echoes of Hamlet, to Brechtian epic drama, and into a realistic exploration of a modern lesbian couple, “Texarkana Waltz” employs modern and classical sensibilities, colorful characters and the occasional singing cowboy to catapult us to the heartland of America as an Oklahoma clan struggles with the violent demons of its past.
