Scholarship Opportunity: SCC music scholarships

The Peggy O’Coyne Memorial Music Scholarship was established by the Shoreline Community College Music Department to assist students who wish to pursue degrees and/or careers in music.

The Shoreline Community College Foundation will offer up to five $750 scholarships to students who plan to study at SCC during the 2015 - 2016 year. If the applicant meets the eligibility criteria, they will then be assigned an audition time. The awards will be for SCC tuition and/or fees, books and required materials and/or SCC parking permits.

Criteria for Eligibility

• Applicant must have applied or be currently enrolled in the SCC Music Department.
• Applicant must have and maintain a SCC clvl 3.0 GPA or better in all music courses.
• Applicant must plan to be enrolled at SCC in a minimum of 6 credits per quarter during 2015 - 2016.
• Applicant must perform in at least one major ensemble each quarter (Chorale, Shoreline Singers, Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band or Funk n Groove).

If applicant meets criteria, they will then attend an audition.
