Shoreline City Councilmembers appointed to regional committees

In addition to their duties of setting City policy, laws, and regulations, and establishing the City’s budget and approving contracts for services, Shoreline Councilmembers also represent Shoreline residents on many different local and national organizations. These organizations play critical roles in establishing regional, state, and federal policies.
The Sound Cities Association (SCA) Board of Directors recently appointed Shoreline Councilmembers to the following regional committees:

How about telling the readers what the Sound Cities Association is?

What this is is parroting whatever {name of organization} sends them. That's what, unfortunately, is what goes as today's news: little explanation, little if any investigative reporting to avoid ruffling any feathers. Most people prefer that, for they don't like their preconceived notions - often put there, unbeknownst to them, by folks with an agenda - to be disturbed.
In this case, I suspect the lack of explanation, which I agree would be helpful, is largely due to volume of materials received vs. "staff" available to "go the extra mile." Being a blog, it's probably a staff of one, and they've got dozens are articles being sent to them to be published that they have to cull through. Unfortunately, most of the readers could care less what the Sound Cities Association is, just as they don't care what government in general does, so long as it isn't impacting them. That's reality.
