Ronald Wastewater provides sewer services for most of the residents of Shoreline and a dozen customers near Point Wells in Woodway.

Admittedly this sounds like a political hatchet job - but I don't know. What would be helpful is to know which commissioners voted for Michael's dismissal and which against. It would be helpful to know which commissioner's support the annexation by the City and which oppose.

I also note that with the new commissioners that support annexation, our rate has increased already.... Ominous portents I would say.

I agree with Patrick,
With city run wastewater plants and city run water utilities in disfunction in other parts of the country we have been very fortunate to have a publicly owned utility that only does one thing, provide for proper sewage treatment. With that narrow focus the utility has been able to keep costs down by proactively replacing aging infrastructure on a schedule, preventing expensive and disruptive pipe failures. With the City of Shoreline's history of underestimating project costs and time lines and history of redirecting funds from one project to another without council or public oversight I am not anxious to see the City of Shoreline take over Ronald Wastewater or take on Water Utilities.

Mr. Derrick has always been an odd and difficult person to work with. I applaud this move and only regret that it didn't happen years ago. His passive-aggressive "leadership" style will not be missed.

This move by the Commissioners was long overdue. Things had to be done Derricks way otherwise whoever was involved paid the price.
