The new site is called the Shoreline Marketplace and will include a number of businesses. Trader Joe's is the only confirmed tenant now.

Merlone Geier is the owner of the site. They also own Town Center in Lake Forest Park.

  1. I was hoping it would be a large TJs! Looks like it will only be the size of the old produce section :( Still, very glad we'll have one!

  4. We're really hoping for another Starbucks. The one at 185th is often crowded! Maybe even one of the Starbucks that sells flatbreads and wine in the evening! That would be awesome!

  5. The site is on the trail, the farmer's market is across the street, and tjs is moving in. I feel like there's a decent chance the other tenants could be progressive-minded.

  6. Progressive-minded? Talk about indoctrinated! Break free of your cult, 8:22PM, while you still have a chance.

  7. Isn't the farmers market moving to a new location this year?

  8. A brewery or brewpub would fit nicely there!

  9. The sign was up for a week and then taken down. What's going on?

  12. You'd think they'd be doing some work/remodeling ... I've seen nothing. Perhaps this is one of those, "Believe it when I see it" kind of things.

  14. Anyone know what's going on with the Trader Joe's? It still looks totally empty.

  16. Hi Everyone, I work at another Seattle area Trader Joe's and I'm hoping to transfer to this store. The story we're getting about why it's taking so long is that the city is throwing up all kinds of roadblocks regarding permitting. We're currently being told February of 2016 is the opening. As of today they are working on the concrete floor inside the store (all newer TJ's have a stained concrete floor), and the exterior work is just about finished. If you look closely you can see the cart corals in front of the space. I've also been told by some of our contractors that there will be a pet store going in the space to the right of TJ's, my guess is a Mud Bay. The two larger spaces to the left have yet to be rented. I hope this is helpful. I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the new store next year!
