Behind the balance scoring of four starters in double figures, the Shorewood girls basketball team went on the road and overcame a sluggish start to swamp Kamiak Wednesday night, 66-44, at Mukilteo.
SW led 9-8 after the first quarter, but a 21-7 second quarter gave the T-Birds a fifteen point lead at the half. The taller T-Birds dominated the backboards and showed their versatility with seven 3-point shots.
Lily Gustafson led the way for the T-Birds with 16 points, while sister Abby was right behind with 14. Karrin Leazer added 13, while solid point guard Danica Bernabe chipped in with 12.
Shorewood hosts powerful Glacier Peak Friday night at 7:15.
