That was one wild night.
When the power went off I saw the clouds lighting up pink with flashes that lit the whole sky - transformers blowing in Snohomish county.
I thought this might be my one opportunity to go to bed early - but the tree outside was pounding its cones on our roof - amazing how loud that sounds.
One of the problems with a power outage is remembering what was on when the power went off. When the power comes back on in the middle of the night, suddenly the television is playing, the lights are on, and you are no longer asleep.
Now I'm wondering how many roads are blocked by trees and tree branches.
