Shorewood tennis hangs on to defeat #2 Glacier Peak

Shorewood defeated a very tough Glacier Peak team on October 1 to solidify their hold on first place in WesCo South.

Glacier Peak was in second place at 5 wins and 1 loss just behind the T-Birds record of 6-0 before the match. Shorewood’s record is 7-0 with a two game lead over second place 5-2 Glacier Peak.

The match was not decided until the number two and three doubles teams of AJ Barth / Eli Hecker and Cameron Harford / Simon Forinash were able to complete third set wins with Glacier Peak leading 3-2 and needing only one more win. The Thunderbirds had to win both matches or lose to the Grizzlies.

They host the Lynnwood Royals on Thursday October 2nd with the match starting at 3:30pm.
