This week’s Shoreline Player of the Week is soccer player Melissa Schuetze. Melissa posted her 6th and 7th shutouts of the season versus Green River & Edmonds last week. Late saves against Edmonds shut down the Triton offense and helped the ‘Phins to a 0-0 draw. The result helped solidify Shoreline’s second place spot with two games left in the season.

Coach Aaron Howe shared that Melissa’s ball distribution is improving every week, helping set up an improving Dolphin offense. He adds that she “busts her tail every game, becoming a vocal leader keeping the defense together.”

The Lady Phins have three games left in the season before playoffs. A second place finish will give the ladies a first round home game hosting the East Region #3 on November 5th.
