Halloween is a very big deal at Third Place Commons, with halloween-themed events from Saturday to Halloween.
Starting Saturday, October 25, with the Northwest Ballet Halloween Dance Recital 12-12:45pm, get into the spirit of the season with chilling and fun dances.
A couple of hours later, see the Halloween Belly Dance Hafla 2-5pm for a Halloween celebration of belly dance, with spooky costumes and spirited shimmies. Ottoman Belly Dance and Pied Peacock Productions team up to put a little shake in the season.
The next day, Sunday, October 26, see the Beyond Expectations Piano Recital from 2-3pm as young artists aged 6 to 16 celebrate Halloween with piano pieces to chill and thrill. Funny, wild and scary!
Take Monday off, but come back on Tuesday, October 28 for Scary Stories for Brave Listeners 7-8pm. Local storytellers will share frightening, yukky, and true tales of ghosts and hauntings, followed by an open mike for audience members with a scary tale to tell! Refreshments will be served (to survivors.) This program is not recommended for young or timid listeners.
Take a break from orange and black on Wednesday, October 29 with the 96th Street Combo 7-8pm,
featuring advanced students from Music Center of the NW, presenting jazz standards and modern compositions in a style that is relaxed and entertaining. Learn more about the Music Center of the NW.
Rest up on Thursday for a full evening of entertainment on HALLOWEEN Friday, October 31
Celebrate at Third Place and the Town Center at Lake Forest Park.
4 – 6 pm Trick-or-treat at participating Town Center merchants. Look for balloons outside participating stores.
6 – 6:45 Fun Family Music in the Commons. What a fabulous way to celebrate Halloween! Musician Eli Rosenblatt brings together world-music, language, movement and imagination in a high-energy mix to create an exciting interactive experience. Original salsa, swing, samba and hip-hop songs inspire free self-expression in a spontaneous, joyful atmosphere for people of all ages, sponsored by KCLS.
7:30-9:30 Dance Halloween Night Away. So, what do we do when Halloween falls on a Friday night? We make sure you've got spirited, fun music on the Third Place Commons Stage. Join Eli Rosenblatt and his band Salsa Sur for a special evening: Son, Salsa and Cha Cha Cha to make you shake it all night long!
Third Place Commons is on the upper level of Town Center at the intersection of Ballinger Way and Bothell Way in Lake Forest Park.
