Lee Lageschulte braved the blackberries and vines to get this photo of another old barn in Shoreline.
She says "I love this old barn covered with weeds, kind of like life, isn’t it, if it isn’t cared for, it quickly fades away."

Thanks, Lee. The architect, Christopher Alexander, in his classic, The Timeless Way of Building, refered to this "quality with no name." Because we are mortal, because nothing lasts forever, our enjoyment of a thing like this old barn is tied up with our bittersweet recognition of that.
