Football games close to home: Thunderbirds start the season Friday

Thursday, September 4, 2014

The Shorewood Thunderbirds football team rings in the new season of High School sports Friday night when they host the Everett Seagulls at Shoreline Stadium at 7pm.

Coach Rob Petschl's young team has shown great promise in practices leading up to their opener, and he expects his team to improve from last year's 2-8 mark.

It appears fans will be blessed with a warm evening, making for a perfect way to kick off the new season.

Parents of grade schoolers are encouraged to load up the family van and bring their kids (and the neighbor's kids, too).
