Crime in Shoreline A - Z
8-11 to 8-18-2014

Every week - death investigations, suicide attempts, domestic violence, violent people with mental issues, suicide attempts, arrest warrants, drivers with suspended license, credit card identify theft, runaway kids, wandering seniors, well-being checks, natural deaths, driving violations with DUI drivers, tracking sex offenders, stolen cars left on streets - and here's the rest:

A - Teriyaki Plus restaurant on Ballinger received a call from someone claiming to be Seattle City Light. Caller told restaurant they were behind on their electricity bill and had to send a down payment immediately or power would be cut - instructed to use Greenback pre-loaded card

Alcohol / Drugs - Found person drunk and incoherent on N 200th, sent to detox via ambulance / Dispute between prostitute and john at Shoreline Motel re trade of heroin for sex

Arrest - Pedestrian violation led to arrest on multiple misdemeanor warrants / Picked up a couple outside of Aurora Safeway, in possession of drug paraphernalia and stolen mail / Deputy patrolling the Trail at 152nd arrested a woman for multiple warrants

Assault - During argument one person stabbed the other with a nail punch, then used a homemade flame thrower

Burglary, residential -  185xx Midvale stole prescription drugs and money / Highland Square Apts - burglar climbed to second story to access open patio door - stole laptop, cash, shotgun, cash - ate food and used toilet / 8xx NW 93rd - electronics taken / Garden Pointe Apts - locked file cabinet in bedroom forced open and federal notes, silver certificates, and gold coins taken / 3xx NE 151st - garage door forced open and tools taken / 152xx Wallingford - large rock through back door for entry / 163xx Wallingford pried open door / 12xx NW 195th glass broken - reported by UPS driver / 7xx N 201st cut screens and opened window 

Burglary, commercial - none this week

Car prowl - 193xx Fremont - pool cues stolen from vehicle

Cars and parts stolen – Parked vehicle stolen 177xx block of 12th NE / Attempted car theft at Shoreline P/R / Vehicle stolen from Aurora Village Transit Center / 151xx Stone Ct license plate stolen / N 167 and Linden attempted auto theft, took license plate and interlock / Motorcycle stolen from Highland Square apts 

Firearms - Large party at 161xx 3rd NE ends with shots being fired from multiple handguns

Found - Bicycle found at Hollywood Casino

Fraud - Couple passed counterfeit $100 bill at Starbucks 15332 Aurora / 77 year old man scammed for $4,000 by two women in Costco parking lot / Forged prescriptions at Ballinger Rite Aid

Hit and Run - Former roommate, leaving residence in vehicle, backed into the porch, then ran into the roommate

Indecent exposure - Man masturbates in front of victim at Ballinger bus shelter

Larceny, public places - Shoplift at Marshall's / Woman stole $16 worth of goods from Goodwill / Couple arrested for stealing $200 of goods from Sears / Man caught with power tools he took from Sears without paying / Man tried to steal t-shirts from Sears by stuffing them in his pants / Man listed as registered sex offender and armed career criminal arrested for stealing tools from Sears / Woman stole a cart of booze and ice cream from Fred Meyer so she "could party." / Woman's handbag stolen from her zumba classroom at the Y / Unattended bag stolen from Paramount Park Open Space / Security chased down a shoplifter at Sears

Larceny - Roommate staged burglary to cover up theft of cash from roommate / 7xx N 195th - painter left tools in customer's fenced back yard and they were stolen / 163xx Fremont - stole weedeater from shed in back yard

Mail theft - 145xx Fremont - neighbor found some of the mail in his yard

Trespass - Male trespassed from Arco station 1554 NE 145th in dispute over lottery tickets / Male trespassed from Doug's Cadillac after threatening employees in dispute over car tabs / From Fred Meyer / 11xx N 157th - trespassed for throwing garbage in neighbor's back yard / Pedestrians trespassed for drinking on Interurban Trail at 145th / From Jack in the Box for getting in dispute in drive thru and throwing food at worker

Vandalism, parks, schools - Tags on picnic table at Twin Ponds / Tags etched into stalls in men's room at Shoreview Park / Tags in women's room at Paramount Park / Tags in Paramount Park Open Space 

Vandalism - 193rd and 1st - someone peeled the red paint off a stop sign / Broke window of new ICHS building under construction

Z - Person was walking in center lane of Aurora with pants down around ankles, struggling to walk, but still ran from police. Arrested on outstanding felony warrant.
