St. Dunstan's to host weekly free dinners for neighbors

On Tuesday evening, August 19th from 5:30 to 7:00pm, St. Dunstan's church will begin hosting a FREE weekly dinner for the local neighborhood community.

All neighbors are welcome, regardless of religious beliefs or affiliations. This community dinner has evolved as an extension of the current weekly Tent City dinner program that St. Dunstan's initiated in 2012 to address expanding local hunger needs and promote neighbor connections in the community.

The new Tuesday evening community dinner is intended to be a self-sustaining, community-based event, supported by individual and group donations and served in the St. Dunstan's Church building, putting their well-equipped commercial kitchen to good use.

Current financial donations for this expansion have come from private residents, and food donation support is currently provided by Shoreline Safeway stores.

More volunteers and ongoing donations are always welcome.  More information can be found at their webpage.
