Drone over Shoreline Photo by Jerry Pickard |

While I was getting my supermoon shots from the Ballinger Terrace shopping center about ten minutes after nine on Sunday, I noticed am unusual flying object about 2000 feet up that was changing positions unlike a normal aircraft, up, down, and sideways in a way that got my attention.
I focused on it with my best telephoto lens and all I could make out was red and green lights flashing. After I got home and downloaded the day's pictures I cropped the picture and when I printed I discovered it was a Quadcopter drone with a camera attached to the bottom of the craft.
It was right on the border between Mountlake Terrace and Shoreline.
That is sure scary!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy is that scary? It's only a consumer quadcopter and I highly doubt it was flying at 2000 ft.
ReplyDeleteIt's scary because of a lack of privacy. The law states that you have an expectation of privacy in your home. Having a drone fly overhead destroys that privacy. The laws need to catch up to technology. If I see a drone overhead, I should have the right to take it down just as I would have the right to take down any intruder.
