Forecast: For those of you (myself included) that do not tolerate the heat very well that we've been having lately, there's some good news. As you may have already noticed over the weekend, a cooler weather pattern has taken over. We now have an on-shore flow with passing low troughs to the north of us. We have a mild storm front that will be moving through the area middle of the week, starting late Tuesday through early Thursday time frame. We may actually see some measurable rainfall out of this one for a short time Wednesday. Also there is a slight risk of an isolated thunderstorm with this system. Temperatures will range from lows in the mid-50's to highs right around 70. Later in the week and weekend we will clear up again with a renewed off-shore flow for high temperatures climbing back into the low 80's. As far as looking beyond next week, I think we've had the worst of our summer heat for this year, although I think we will still see many mid 80's days yet to come.
Graphs: I wanted to show you some of the Graphs for the month of July so far. First is the average daily temperature compared to historic average, followed by the daily average dew point and daily high and low temperatures. The temperatures clearly reflect that this has been one of our warmer Julys in quite some time. Also, as I initially expected of this summer, dew points have been a little higher than normal, so our weather has felt a little stickier than we're normally used to.
