All three local libraries - Lake Forest Park, Shoreline, Richmond Beach - have groups reading and discussing the same book this summer: The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Olympics by Daniel James Brown, the remarkable story of the University of Washington crew team, as seen through the life of Joe Rantz.
The author himself, Daniel James Brown, will join the Third Place Books Discussion Group on Monday, July 28, from 7-8:30pm on the stage at Third Place Commons in Lake Forest Park Town Center.
The event is open to the reading public. Town Center is at the intersection of Ballinger Way and Bothell Way.
