Missoula Children’s Theater: Call for youth actors!
Shoreline Arts Festival – June 28 & 29
Shoreline Center: 18560 1st Ave NE
A little red truck pulls into town with everything it takes to mount a full-scale musical production…except the cast. That’s where the children of our community come in. This week-long residency begins with an open group audition and culminates in two public performances of the classic story Pinocchio. On Monday, they’ll be cast as characters; by Saturday, they’ll have gained character; the kind that really counts.
Monday, June 23: Take pART in your community: Audition!
An annual Shoreline Arts Festival tradition! Sixty local students are cast in a play, rehearse for a week with professional actor/directors from Missoula Children’s Theatre touring company and perform two shows on Saturday, June 28 presented by the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council. Group auditions are held on June 23 at 3:45pm at the Shoreline Center, Shoreline Room – open to all students grades K-12.
Saturday, June 28: Enjoy the show, get tickets online or at the door!
This year's play is Pinocchio. Join our little wooden puppet boy, who comes to life with the help of the Blue Fairy. Pinocchio's adventures take him to Pleasure Isle with Candlewick and his Crew, where he is swindled by Fox and Cat. After escaping the evil puppetmaster Stromboli, Pinocchio finds himself in more trouble - swallowed by a monstrous whale! Find out how Pinocchio overcomes his troubles and becomes a real, live boy.
