The Port Townsend Police Department is attempting to locate 23 year old Lauryn Renee Garrett, pictured above. Garrett was reported missing by her father after she arrived in Port Townsend by Ferry. According to her father, Garrett has a history of illegal narcotics use and had just been released from an inpatient drug treatment facility.

On 5/1/2014 Garrett called her father on a borrowed cell phone from Port Townsend, to come pick her up. Her father suggested that she take the bus to his residence, Garrett agreed and the call ended at approximately 1930 hours. This call was the last communication from Garrett to her family. Garret was last seen on Port Townsend Safeway surveillance video making a purchase at 2005 hours 5/1/2014 of liquor and soda.

Garrett reportedly had less than $25 cash, however Garret possessed a check, payable to her, that as of 5/12/2014 had not been cashed

Garrett also had 2 duffle bags of belongings when she was last seen, one red, one blue. The red bag was found abandoned in a Port Townsend park on May 7, 2014. It contained many personal items and family photos.
