Three new businesses open in North City

The Erickson family of Shoreline purchased the ABC Communication building at 17537 15th NE in North City last year. They have completely renovated the building, which now contains three separate businesses.

Vanity Hair Studio opened on April 1.

Easy Monkey Taphouse will have its Grand Opening this Saturday, May 3.

Taphouse owner Steve Erickson says, "Life can be a little hectic sometimes, so come on in, take it easy and enjoy a cider, a local beer, or glass of wine.

Part of their proceeds will go to local charities.

We feel we've been very lucky and we would like to give something back. We will have a rotating "Pinky's" tap with a portion going to Pinky's Passion for a Parkinson's Cure. We will serve Sozo Wine, who donates a portion of their proceeds to feeding the hungry (and it's so good!).

The third business is the EM Event Center,  a new rental facility for parties, reunions, weddings, and other events. They can accommodate groups of up to 150 people. Questions about availability can be directed to Steve Erickson, 206-819-6029.

The first event being held at the EM Center is a Vintage Fashion Show and catered brunch. The brunch will be held on May 10 at 10am. Tickets are $35 and all net proceeds go to Pinky's Passion for a Parkinson's Cure, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
