The Shorewood girls tennis team continued their unbeaten streak in Wesco South by beating Marysville Getchell 6-1. Daniella Brengelmann led the team with a hard fought match at number one singles over another top singles player, Marina Ciferri, 7-5, 6-3. Lilly Brons and Wiktoria Kostyra, at number three doubles, had the longest match of the day with a three set come from behind win 4-6, 6-2, 7-5. Shorewood’s league record is 7-0 and 9-1 overall and first place in Wesco South.

Senior Daniella Brengelmann outlasted, Wesco South second place Glacier Peak's, number one Madeline Mahler, in a three and a half hour match, 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-5). The T-Birds swept all singles matches to defeat Glacier Peak 5-2. The number two doubles team Jelena Bojic and Emily Wright won 7-5, 6-0. The Thunderbirds record increased to 9-0 in Wesco South and 11-1 overall. Shorewood hosts Wesco North first place team, Stanwood ( 9-0, 11-1), Friday at Shoreview Park with match start time of 3:30pm.

The Shorewood tennis team defeated Oak Harbor 7-0 to improve their record to 8-0 in Wesco South and 10-1 overall. The T- Birds remain in first place ahead of second place Glacier Peak. Number one singles Daniella Brengelmann led the sweep with a straight set victory 6-3, 6-2. The team did not lose a set in the match. They travel to Glacier Peak for a big rematch on Thursday May 1st with a match start time of 3:30pm.
