Shorewood plays Saturday for third in district baseball tournament

The Shorewood baseball team plays Saturday at Meridian Park for third place in the Northwest District 3A tournament after defeating Meadowdale Tuesday in an elimination game that followed a 1-0 Shorewood loss to Glacier Peak in a Tuesday semifinal game.

Shorewood will play Saturday for the district's No 3 berth in the regional round of state play.

Shorewood will play in the third-place game at 11am Saturday at Meridian Park against the winner of a Wednesday game between Marysville-Pilchuck and Stanwood.

Glacier Peak and Mountlake Terrace meet in the championship game at 2pm Saturday at Meridian Park for the district's No. 1 and No. 2 berths in state play.

Shorewood has a 20-3 overall record a after a 4-1 victory over Meridian Park Wednesday.
