The Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center is offering practical solutions for people with Parkinson’s Disease and their care partners.
The upcoming classes will focus on moving with less effort, balance and mobility and fall prevention. They also include talk and movement. Come dressed in exercise clothing and be prepared to take notes. Care Partners are welcome and have complimentary registration.
The next class will be held May 2 to May 23, 12:30-1:30pm at the Senior Center. Fees for the 4 session classes: $30 for senior center members, $35 for non-members. Register in person at the Senior Center or by phone: 206-365-1536 to pay by credit card.
The focus of this session: Exercise and Dopamine. Apply the latest science to ensure that your exercise routine is effective. Learn to maximize dopamine production as well as discuss protecting and generating new neurons.
The class instructor is Lisa Stuebing, certified in older adult fitness, with a specialization in brain health.
