Shorecrest, Shorewood soccer teams meet Friday at Stadium

The Shorecrest and Shorewood boys' soccer teams meet Friday at 7:30pm at Shoreline Stadium with junior varsity teams playing at 5:30pm.

The Shorewood varsity holds second place in the Western Conference 3A South with a 1-0-1 Wesco 3A record (2-1-2 overall) after a 4-0 victory at Mountlake Terrace Tuesday. Shorecrest holds third place with a 1-1 (4-1) record after a 7-0 home non-conference win over Centralia Wednesday.

Shorewood defeated Mountlake Terrace Wednesday when the beginning of April created a rainless atmosphere for a good night of soccer at Edmonds Stadium.

Shorewood started the scoring with a goal in the 11th minute by Dylan Collins on an assist by Callahan Gobel. Terrace pressed hard, but the half ended 1-0.

Shorewood scored its second goal 5 minutes into the second half on a penalty kick by Anthony Pepe after Callahan was taken down in the penalty box. Eleven minutes later Garrett Miyaoka scored on an assist from Callahan. Finally the scoring ended when Ali Uvence scored on an assist by Marco Shiflette.

Kyle Crawford and Isaac Whitaker were in goal for Shorewood.

In Shorecrest's win over Centralia, Alex Day and Jonathan Coon each scored wo goals.

The Shorewood JVs have a 2-0 (3-2) record after a 2-0 win at Mountlake Terrace Tuesday.

The Shorecrest JVs are 0-1-1 (2-2-1) after a 6-0 victory over Centralia Wednesday.
