Jobs: part-time technical director for Edmonds Driftwood Players

The Edmonds Driftwood Players is one of the oldest community theaters in Washington State, proudly celebrating our 55th season. DWP produces 5 Main Stage productions, 4 second-stage productions, a popular summer teen workshop and several other special performances each year. 

We are currently seeking a part-time Technical Director. 

The Technical Director will collaborate with artistic team and is expected to supervise and coordinate our volunteer workforce.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• supervise volunteers in set construction (including unistrut and rigging); 
• adhere to production and general tech budgets;
• order materials and supplies;
• generate build/ paint schedules;
• participate in production meetings;
• advise guest light and sound designers;
• some light facility maintenance.

Applicants must enjoy working with people of different experience levels, be a supportive and cooperative team member, and have strong leadership and communication skills. 

Preferred experience: B.A. in technical theater or related field plus 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Salary is $18/ hour, 20 hours a week.
