Don't be 'fooled' into thinking that the Point Wells Project
won't affect you ... it will! Plan to show up at City Hall to
participate and learn more about the Point Wells Traffic Corridor
Study on April 1. Doors open at 6:30 and meeting is from 7-9pm.
If you have not been to prior meetings you can catch up here at the
City of Shoreline website.
BE THERE and participate in the design of our city and traffic
flow. Anticipate the addition of 3,000 new neighbors in one
predominant location and what that will do to your commute and
quality of life.

"If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, is it not possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without their knowing about it? The recent practice of propaganda has proved that it is possible, at least up to a certain point and within certain limits." - Edward Bernays, early 20th century ad man.
A geologic catastrophe on the same order as the Oso slide, but at a human scale up to 25 times greater is just waiting to happen at Point Wells, if the planned mega-condominium development is realized. The City of Shoreline raised the issue of geological risk in the comments it submitted to Snohomish County, who is preparing to conduct a state-mandated Environmental Impact Study (EIS). Point Wells is at high risk for both liquefaction and lateral spread, according to a 2010 study. Do you think Snohomish County will learn its lesson from Oso? I don't.
