Atkinson, Webster hold leads in Ronald Wastewater District election

Political newcomers Gretchen Atkinson and George Webster hold early leads in the Ronald Wastewater District election on the Tuesday ballot.

The results come with at least half of the expected number of ballots counted.

Atkinson leads opponent Ginny Scantlebury, with 51.04 percent of the vote for Atkinson to 48.53 percent for Scantlebury.

Webster leads appointed incumbent Richard Matthews, with 52.52 percent for Webster to 46.93 percent for Matthews.

  1. Looks like the unelected Arne Lind has two more years of being on the wrong side of Ronald decisions before he joins Art Wadekemper in the spectator section. Bravo to Shoreline voters who saw through and took account of Ronald's recent deceptions.

    It will be good to see the disagreeable Michael Derrick get his walking papers in a few years also.

    A good result all around. Well done, Shoreline!

  2. Shoreline Voters, job well done !!! It's obvious the voters could easily see through all the smoke and mirrors being created by the commissioners and management of the District. Now, the Board needs to back off on their so-called legal challenge concerning assumption. THE VOTERS HAVE SPOKE !!!!

  4. I guess no one knows that Steve Paulis has a personal axe to grind with his life partner not being protected any longer after he retired, but that would be full disclosure and Paulis isn't interested in THAT.
