SCC Men’s soccer drops 4-1 match to Skagit Valley College

The Shoreline Community College Men’s Soccer Team dropped a tough 4-1 match to Skagit Valley College in which six yellow cards were called in the match.

SVC ran out to a 2-0 lead in the first half, scoring early at the seven minute mark and late in the half at the 44 minute mark. The Cardinals scored 11 minutes into the second half to make it 3-0 before Jibril Freeman scored for the Dolphins in the 65th minute to make it 3-1. Skagit scored one more goal to end the scoring and secure them a 4-1 win.

Shoreline record falls to 1-7-3 overall and 1-3-2 in the region. SVC ran its record to 6-2-0 overall and 4-2-0 in the region, 1 point behind Edmonds CC for first place.

SCC is now in 4th place out of 5 teams in the NWAACC Northern Region. The Dolphins are three points behind Whatcom CC for the final playoff spot in the region and one point ahead of Everett CC for last place. SCC plays Everett CC on Wednesday at 2:00pm in Everett. Game times for the Men’s and Women’s Soccer matches are flipped on Wednesday with the men playing first.
