Bike lanes striped on NE 185th

Bicycle lanes were recently striped in both directions on N and NE 185th, from 1st NE to 10th NE. Parking is allowed on the south side of the street, shown in the forefront of the photo, and accommodations were made for bus stops.

The striping is great and a gentle reminder for drivers to please use their blinkers. I nearly got nailed by a driver turning right onto Meridian from 185th. It would have been completely avoided if he'd 'told' me he was turning right by using his blinker; as it was I thought we were both going straight so I was parallel to him, causing him to nearly clip me when he turned.
Much gratitude to the many courteous drivers on the road.
Great; glad to see they finished this road. Too bad it's chip sealed, which will make for a rough ride. Anything's better than the stretch farther west, though, which I avoid at all costs. It's so bumpy it's too dangerous.
@anonymous 9:14 pm - it would be nice if bike riders obeyed the rules of the road and stop signs, like the stop sign at 160th on the Interurban Trail where I was coming the hill slowly and a bicyclist almost T-boned me blowing the stop sign. Or the bicyclist in the dark and pouring rain was headed eastbound with no lights (as required by law) was in front of me but I noticed because I saw the house lights abnormally blinking before I entered the intersection. That is not to mention all the bicyclists that don't use hand signals.
You could also complain about the fact the city has reduced their road maintenance by more than 50% in the past year, go check out the city council goals figures posted for the 9/16/2013 dinner meeting, lack of roads maintenance affects buses, motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians, and motorized wheelchair users.
Hmm, kinda like the motorists that harass me, ignore my right-of-way, run red lights and stop signs, speed, and talk on their cell phones?
Let's face it, there are bad operators on both sides, and blaming gets you nowhere.
Let's see, it was the bicylists who brought up the motorists as bad operators wasn't it and started the blame game?
And bicyclists can speed, run red lights, talk on their cell phones and listen to music as well.
