Dashboard Dog Photo by Marc Weinberg |
Marc says:
"We often see dogs on the rear shelf of cars, but how often does one insist on riding on the dashboard? If you look closely, you can see a 'non-skid' pad on the dashboard for the dogs' safety and convenience so he doesn't slip off. This tells me he is more than just a casual component in this drivers everyday road trips."

After the sidecar canine and the dashboard dog, I see a trend here.... let's have a "pets around town" section. :-)
The dashboard is unsafe for both the dog and the driver, it should be in a harness and seat belted into place. You would probably be surprised at how many dogs cause car accidents and how many are killed in "minor" car accidents by thrown around in the interior.
Way to show how to get in a wreck. That "cute little dog" creates a blind spot for the driver!
Lighten up. He's just waiting for his owner's return.
I knew I'd see at least one shrill comment...
And what is shrill about public safety? There have been fatalities for both dogs and drivers/human passengers as a result of dogs loose in a vehicle.
If you love your dog, you make sure it is safe.
