Shorewood girls take victory over MG, loss to GP into Thursday meet at Shoreline Stadium


The Shorewood girls’ track and field team takes a victory over Marysville Getchell and a loss to Glacier Peak March 28 into a meet with Shorecrest and Shoreline Christian at Shoreline Stadium Thursday.

Girls’ and boys’ teams from the three local schools meet at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Shoreline Stadium.

Shorewood defeated Marysville Getchell 74-66 and lost to host Glacier Peak 89.5-58.5 in a double-dual meet at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Snohomish. Megan Ransom of Shorewood won the 300-meter hurdles and the pole vault, and ran on the winning 4x200 relay team; Charity Ijiomah won the 100 meters and long jump, and ran on the winning 4x200 relay team.
