Help shape the future of Kenmore Parks at upcoming meetings in April and May
Friday, April 5, 2013
The City of Kenmore is seeking feedback from citizens on the Northshore Summit Park project and Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan.
Northshore Summit Park Community Workshop
At the March 18 Council meeting, the City Council authorized staff to proceed with preparing of design and construction drawings for a first phase of park improvements, including an approximate 1,900-square-foot play area to be located west of the on-site wetland. There is $190,000 allocated in the City’s Capital Budget for improvements at Northshore Summit Park.
Community workshops are scheduled for Tuesday, April 9 and Tuesday, April 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kenmore City Hall. The purpose for the meetings is to gather information about design ideas for the play area and other park features. The goal is to construct improvements in the fall of this year.

Parks Forum and Open House
Join us on Wednesday, May 22 from 7 to 9pm at Kenmore City Hall for a Parks Forum and Open House to gather public opinion and attitudes about current and future park and recreation services available to Kenmore residents. This event is a vital element to the City’s effort to update the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan last adopted in 2003.
