On a fall Saturday afternoon last year, hundreds of people poured into Ronald Bog Park on N 175th St. Festival attendees were delighted by the sight of a colorful giant floating turtle clambering off a dock, amazed by fluttering iridescent wings affixed to the Shoreline Ponies sculpture, and charmed by the brightly striped tree socks made by local knitters. There was music to enjoy, dancing to experience, a labyrinth walk, art making demonstrations, historical talks, and culture sharing by the Duwamish Tribe.

SummerSet Arts Festival: Celebrating Ronald Bog 2013 is looking for enthusiastic Shoreline residents to help plan and produce our second annual festival. It will be held at Ronald Bog Park on Saturday, September 7, 2013.

You do not have to be an artist but you do need to reside in Shoreline and be someone who would enjoy volunteering as part of a team creating an afternoon event of art, music, and nature exploration for people of ages. No prior experience necessary! If you would like to participate, contact Cynthia Knox or Kathy Plant.
