STart - Sound Transit art program, is seeking a qualified artist to act as the lead artist in developing and overseeing temporary art projects that will be created by a variety of artists for the construction walls and areas surrounding the sites where the Northgate Link Extension light rail stations are being built in Seattle’s University District, Roosevelt and Northgate neighborhoods. The lead artist will assist in identifying artists to invite to apply for inclusion to the artist roster as well as participate in the panel for the artist selection process. The lead artist will curate the temporary construction site artwork from the pre-approved art roster, which will be created in late 2013.

Northgate Link Extension temporary art project goal: make the perimeters of the construction sites at key focal points active, interesting and relevant during the multi-year construction periods by producing art that engages the residents and visitors of these urban neighborhoods.
