King's boys reach State 1A championship basketball game, girls play for third

The King's High School boys' basketball team reached the Saturday final of the State 1A tournament in Yakima, while the King's girls reached the third-place game.

The King's boys took a 21-6 record into a meeting with Toledo from Southwest Washington in the championship game after a Thursday 58-31 quarterfinal victory over Granger and a Friday 45-38 semifinal win over Lynden Christian.

The King's girls took an 18-9 record into the third-place game against Chelan after a 41-40 Thursday quarterfinal victory over Okanogan and a 60-38 Friday semifinal loss to Brewster.
