So apparently LFP City Council either chose not to attend the NLC Congressional City Conference in Washington, DC, or did not think it justified cancelling their council meeting, unlike Shoreline. Shoreline City Council is out for the entire week.
LFP doesn't spend money like it's water (wrong analogy, Shoreline is buying SPU and planning on wasting ratepayer money on water). And I would bet that LFP doesn't give every councilmember an ipad, a smartphone, and/or a laptop as well (not to mention $700 per month with generous benefits) yet encouraging community members to complain about other local government agencies. LFP also doesn't raise property taxes either to fund a city hall that is 1/2 empty that was built without a public vote (which is what MLT has done).
