YAKIMA — Brennan Rakoz scored 10 of his 14 points in the second half to lead Toledo to a 38-27 victory over King's and its first Class 1A boys state basketball championship on Saturday at the Yakima SunDome.
Brian Hughes and Caleb Taylor each scored six points to lead King's (21-7) of Shoreline.

Abby Phelps had 16 points and 15 rebounds, leading the Goats (21-6) past the Knights for third place. Phelps' three-point play in the third quarter ignited a 10-2 run, and King's (18-10) never got closer than four points the rest of the way.
The King’s boys' reached the final against Toledo from Southwest Washington after a Thursday quarterfinal victory over Granger and a Friday semifinal win over Lynden Christian.
The King's girls met Chelan after a Thursday quarterfinal victory over Okanogan and a Friday semifinal loss to Brewsrer.
