SCC names Maile Keanu as "Women's Basketball Player of the Week"

Shoreline Community College on Sunday named freshman Maile Keanu from South Kitsap High School, as the SCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Keanu had 22 points, 22 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 blocked shot and 1 steal in two games for SCC during the week of January 28 - February 3. Her totals include 15 rebounds against Northwest Indian College on Wednesday night.

SCC split games during the week, routing Northwest Indian College in Bellingham, WA 74-44 and losing to Everett Community College on Saturday, 83-72.

SCC is 9-10 on the season and 2-6 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC plays at Bellevue College on Wednesday and hosts Olympic College on Saturday in the SCC Gym at 2pm.
